Our story
2013 — An idea is born in the Alps
SimplyCards was founded in July 2013 in the Alps, born from the meeting of Frédéric and Christophe, two entrepreneurs who have been building digital services for years and who share a passion for high-quality print. Their conviction: simplicity must stay at the heart of the project — sending a personalised postcard should remain a pleasure, never a chore. This simplicity DNA has become the SimplyCards signature: bringing the traditional postcard back to life by adding the convenience of digital — without sacrificing any of its physical charm.
2014 — Launch of the mobile app
In early summer 2014, the SimplyCards app launches on the App Store and on Google Play — just in time for the first holiday cards of the season. The promise fits in one sentence: create and send a real personalised postcard in a few clicks from your smartphone. The concept immediately wins over travellers, then families, and gradually expands across Europe and beyond.
Today — over 1 million downloads worldwide
More than ten years after launch, SimplyCards has passed the milestone of one million downloads across the App Store and Google Play, with an average rating of 4.9 out of 5 stars from users. The service is available in 6 languages (English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese) and ships cards to every country in the world. The app keeps evolving — with more personalisation options and always-easier handling.

Every postcard is produced in a partner print workshop we have been working with since the very beginning of SimplyCards. This close collaboration guarantees consistent quality, fine-grained control of the production chain and a shipping time of 24 business hours, anywhere in the world.
Premium cardstock, PEFC-certified
To stay true to the spirit of the traditional postcard, we have selected a premium 330 gsm cardstock (postcards) and 280 gsm (duo cards), PEFC-certified — an internationally recognised label guaranteeing the paper comes from sustainably managed forests. The front of every card is varnished to enhance your photos and protect them over time.
Quality check and delivery via national postal services
Every card is visually inspected before being shipped: colour, alignment, finish. We then entrust your card to trusted national postal services — well-established postal partners with high reliability in each destination country. As soon as your card is on its way, you receive a confirmation email. That is our guarantee of 100 % satisfaction on arrival.
